Many creditors have the perception that selling their assets to a debt buyer will potentially harm their reputation because many buyers have no intention of maintaining a civil relationship with the lenders' customers and in many cases jump straight into taking legal action in order to collect.
These concerns are all too valid in the debt buying world, and we at Hylan are very aware of them. However, unlike many other buyers, we understand the importance of maintaining the lenders' reputation and brand as a financial institution, and we recognize the fact that our debtors are still your customers. We in no way want to tarnish the reputation that you as a creditor hold with your customers or in any way damage the relationships that you have with them. Instead, Hylan Asset Management, LLC actively works to maintain and strengthen the reputations of the lenders that it works with.
At Hylan we outsource our collection to a third-party network of collection agencies, and we encourage these agencies to carry out all communications and dealings with our consumers and your customers in the most ethical, professional, and respectful manner. We hold all agencies within this third-party network to the highest level of ethical and professional standards, and encourage each agency to treat our customers with respect, fairness, and to exhibit outstanding customer service in all consumer interactions. In addition to these standards, Hylan attempts to outsources only to agencies that understand and strictly comply with all relevant consumer protection and debt collection acts. All collection agencies that wish to do business with us must undergo a thorough due diligence process and have an outstanding and successful track record with previous consumers in order to be considered in becoming part of our expansive network.
Hylan and the third-party agencies we engage with strive to emphasize the idea of integrity in all interactions that we have with consumers. It is our hope that through the strict adherence to only the most ethical and professional standards, the risk of complaints voiced by consumers will be mitigated. However, should any problems arise, Hylan Asset Management, LLC is ready to step in and take action in order to protect the consumer as well as the creditor's reputation. Hylan has a consumer hotline where consumers can voice their questions or complaints should they have any. Hylan acts responsively to consumer complaints and/or concerns and works diligently with agencies to ensure that these infrequent issues are resolved in a timely and respectful manner.
By effectively monitoring the third party agencies, Hylan works to make sure that any issues that may arise throughout the collection process can be expertly managed and resolved.

We set reasonable and manageable liquidation and return on investment targets, and also have an established and trusted network where we are able to sell debts in the secondary market.
